Wine tours are generally considered a warm weather activity, but winter can also be a magical time among the vines. That’s what Bucks County Wine Trail wineries promise with their second annual Light Up the Vines holiday lighting.

Along with the Bucks County Wine Trail Holiday Celebration (December 4-5), Light Up the Vines will begin at the end of the December 4 holiday celebration and continue each evening until January 2, 2022.

Six of the seven wine route member vineyards will participate by illuminating their vineyards each evening after dark.

The newest member, Vino By Zzino, “is in on the holiday celebration, but doesn’t have a vineyard to light up,” said a press release on Light Up the Vines.

In addition to the Vineyard Festival of Lights, winery visitors can enjoy mulled wine, food trucks, fire pits, holiday music and more during the launch lighting on December 4.

Light Up the Vines is a free event, but charges will apply for food and wine purchases.

Prices and festivities vary according to the cellars.

Since space is limited at each winery, groups of six or more must make reservations.

Fire pits and seating are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers can therefore bring blankets and/or folding chairs to sit on.
